Hello Neighbors!

This snow storm continues to be disruptive. The city staff continues to be focused on recovery efforts and I commend their efforts!

The Snow Emergency Routes in Eastport are mostly passable. The connecting roads are getting there and the plows have hit most of the other roads. If your road has not been plowed or if you have any other problems, the most direct way to get action is to call the Emergency Operations Center at (410) 260-2211 and inform them of the problem - they have a direct connection to Public Works.

The next challenge is sidewalks.  Thank you to all who have shoveled your sidewalks and a huge thank you to Eastporters who have helped neighbors with sidewalks. If your sidewalk is not clear, or a neighbor's is not clear, please shovel them. The City plans to start issuing citations tomorrow. The temperature is not forecast to rise above freezing all week so it is not going to get any better.

If you can keep your car off the street, the snowplows will be able to better clear the roads. We recognize this is not always possible.

Here is a link to Mayor Littmann’s update with a lot of good information.

Stay safe, Frank
